Regular Season Round 34: Seoul Knights - LG Sakers 68-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedKnights (31-8) in Seoul on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Sakers (24-14) 77-68 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Knights. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. LG Sakers outrebounded Seoul Knights 43-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Sakers' coach Sung-Won Cho used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) responded with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international forward Youngjun An (195-1995) scored 17 points. Sakers have a solid three-game winning streak. LG Sakers moved-up to second place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. Seoul Knights at the other side still keep top position with eight games lost.
